Advantages of EVA car mats

Yes — all EVATECH mats come with a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects. This covers issues such as seam failure, incorrect fit against the specified pattern, or premature material defects under normal use. It does not cover wear from misuse, cuts, burns, or damage caused by sharp objects. Keep your order number for service.
Our mats are made of Ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA), a lightweight, resilient, closed-cell material with a cellular (honeycomb-like) structure. It traps dirt and liquid inside deep cells, is odourless, resistant to common chemicals, and safe for health and the environment. The material retains its properties from −50 °C to +50 °C.
Slightly. We cut to our own refined patterns. Minor differences from OEM shapes are normal and often improve coverage and practicality without affecting pedal operation or seat rails.
EVA is all-season. In fall and wet conditions, the closed-cell structure prevents moisture absorption (unlike textile mats), while in cold weather the material doesn’t harden the way some rubber mats do.
Shake out dry debris. For washing, use a water jet/pressure rinse — the cells empty quickly. Car-wash shampoos and household detergents are fine. Let the mats drain; to pour out water cleanly, hold each mat nearly vertical to avoid splashes in the cabin.
Most models use hook-and-loop (Velcro) backing for a secure hold. Where vehicles have factory anchor points, we supply the matching fasteners.
No. The deep cellular structure holds liquid inside the cells and prevents it from spreading. Unlike tray-style rubber mats that can splash when tipped, EVA mats are designed to be lifted and drained vertically, keeping water contained during removal.
EVA is durable yet slightly elastic for comfort. Repeated point pressure from very sharp heels or metal spikes can leave marks over time — similar to rubber. If you frequently drive in such footwear, consider adding a heel pad for extra protection.
New mats may have a light new-product odour that dissipates quickly. EVA itself is odourless in use — even at high cabin temperatures — and does not release harmful fumes.
No. The surface cells trap dust, sand, and moisture below foot level, helping to keep soles clean. EVA is widely used in footwear due to its gentle, resilient properties.
For everyday practicality, grey and beige are favourites. Dry dust and sand are less visible on beige, while wet dirt is typically less noticeable on grey. Choose edging to match or contrast your interior.
